In most companies the same data gets entered several times over — once in the inbox, once in a spreadsheet, once in the accounting package. That is work you pay for that produces nothing. Business process automation means those steps happen on their own, and your people spend their day on the parts that genuinely need a person.
Which tasks are worth automating — and which are not
Not everything should be automated. A task that happens once a month and takes ten minutes is not worth it; one somebody does twenty times a day almost always is.
So we start by looking at how you work now rather than with a solution already in mind. We look for the steps that repeat, take time, and need no judgement from a person. There are usually only a handful, and they are obvious once somebody says them out loud.

What can happen on its own
Usually it is four or five things every company does daily. You do not need to change the way you work — the point is for the same work to take fewer hands.

Examples by type of business
The situations below are examples, not our projects. We show them because they are the most common shapes this problem takes — you will probably recognise your own.
Orders arrive in three places and stock is updated by hand. The result is selling something you do not have. Connecting the shop to the warehouse removes both problems.
Every delivery is entered again for invoicing and a third time for the report. One entry can feed all three.
Appointments are confirmed by phone and reminders get missed. Automatic confirmations and reminders cut empty slots without anyone making calls.
Production figures are collected on paper and typed up in the evening. Captured once, on the floor, they can reach the reports immediately.
How the work runs
In stages, and every stage produces something that works. We do not disappear for months and come back with a finished system — the first thing to go live is usually the most tedious task, because the difference shows straight away.

Where AI genuinely helps and where it is unnecessary
AI earns its place when the task needs text, speech or a document to be understood — reading an email and pulling the order out of it, recognising what is on an invoice (this is called OCR), answering a question somebody asked in their own words.
When the rule is clear and unambiguous — "if the order is over a certain amount, send it for approval" — a plain rule is usually better. It is faster, cheaper and cannot be wrong. The technologies that automate steps like that without AI are known as RPA, and in a fair number of cases they are exactly the right answer.
We say so because the difference matters to you: a rule is built once and then it works. AI has to be checked, bounded and watched. If somebody offers you AI for everything, that is a good moment to ask more questions.
What drives the scope and the cost
There is no sensible single price, because there is no single amount of work — which is why we do not publish one. But the things that decide it are few and easy to check, and we can usually judge them after one conversation.

- How many of your systems the solution has to connect to, and which ones
- Whether those systems offer a ready way in, or have to be worked around
- How much data goes through the process, and how varied it is
- Whether something is built from scratch or existing pieces are joined up
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to replace the software we use now?
Usually not. More often we connect what you already have than replace it — swapping out a working system is expensive and risky, and it is rarely the thing that was missing.
What if our systems are old?
That is common and usually solvable. Even when a program has no modern way in, there is almost always a way to get data out of it and back into it. We check that before promising anything.
What happens when something goes wrong?
Automation is built to stop and say so rather than carry on quietly. The problem is visible, not discovered a week later in a report.
Will our people lose their jobs?
In practice something else happens: the same people stop entering data and start doing the work they were hired for. Automation is good at repetition and useless at judgement.
Who maintains it afterwards?
We do, if you want. The systems we connect to change, and anything depending on them needs watching. Your own team can take it on instead — then we hand it over with the documentation they need.
